Kids Get Into Everything. This Makes Sure the Fridge Isn't One of Them.
If you have young children at home, you already know what happens the moment you turn your back. The fridge door opens, things get pulled out, food gets wasted, and sometimes kids eat things they really shouldn't. Worse, small fingers can get caught in the door while it swings shut.
This Child Safety Fridge Lock fixes that with zero drilling and zero tools. It sticks onto the fridge with strong adhesive, locks securely with a double-button mechanism that small children can't figure out, and opens easily for adults in one smooth motion. Takes about two minutes to install and works from day one.
We tested this at home before listing it on NovaEx. The adhesive held firmly and the lock did exactly what it's supposed to do. Simple product, real problem solved.
Not Just for Fridges
Despite the name, this lock works on much more than just the refrigerator. The same adhesive and locking mechanism fits most smooth flat surfaces, so you can use it on kitchen cabinets where you keep cleaning supplies or medicines, drawers that contain sharp utensils, bathroom cabinets, and any other door or drawer you want to keep off-limits for young children. One lock, several uses.
How the Lock Works
The lock uses a double-button release system. To open it, you press both buttons simultaneously and lift. Adults can do this easily with one hand. Young children below the age of 5 or 6 typically cannot coordinate both buttons at the same time, which is exactly the point. The lock doesn't require a key, so there's nothing to lose and no risk of getting locked out yourself.
Installation
Step 1: Clean the surface of your fridge door and the side panel next to it. Make sure it's dry.
Step 2: Peel the adhesive backing and press both parts of the lock firmly onto the surface. Hold for 30 seconds.
Step 3: Wait 24 hours before putting the lock under heavy use. This lets the adhesive cure properly and ensures maximum hold.
No drilling. No screws. No damage to your fridge or cabinets.
